I followed all the directions. I replaced the pop3.php file with the one on the site. I configured a department and put in pop.gmail.com as the server. Enable email piping is YES. I used the full email address as the username. Password is correct. Guest emails is YES.

When I email to the helpdesk address, I do not get any messages back. If I log in the helpdesk email account, I can see my test email in the inbox.

When I run the pop3.php file, I do not get any errors. The messages do not show up in the department.

If I check back in the helpdesk account, the email is moved out of the inbox and archived, so I know the script is checking and getting the message. Where is it going?

I'm out of ideas. Everything seems like it is configured and working, but the emails dont show up as tickets. Am I missing something?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I had to turn on errors to see if there was any problems, and there was. I was getting "Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '../includes/ifthd.php'"

So basically I just ran the php command from the includes directory and it worked. For some reason it couldn't find the file, even though it was definitely in ../includes. I dont know why.

OK. It's not working again. I dont know why. No errors, no tickets are being opened, yet the mail is pulling down from the account and being archived in "all mail" in the account on google. I saw someone else say that the pop3.php on the wiki doesn't work with 1.0.4. Is this a problem?

some of the emails ticket get created if I set the gmail auto response on, and use other gmail also have auto response on to email in. it creates 40 tickets within an hour(must be more if I don't delete them instantly when they appear on gmail before the cron job being executed). however, when I stop the auto response, all other normal emails aren't get created at all. still, the pop3 isn't working
