I would like to know if there's an option to make it where people don't have to register prior to submitting a ticket. In other words, the act of submitting the ticket is what should register them and perhaps the system sends a random password to them after they submit their ticket. Is this possible with TrellisDesk?

Go to "manage Groups" and choose "guest". You can modify the settings there so they don't have to register to submit a ticket.
