&#60;p&#62;Using either Explorer 8, Firefox 4, with explorer 9 it want work at all I think. Same time the ticket or reply is saved, when you browse the tickets again.

&#60;p&#62;I have two Departments, and I need to customize the Clients view in such a way that client only intact with one department who is official and the Internal department's action should hide, Let say if the Internal Department change the priority, move the Ticket to the other department anything from internal,Client should not able to  view all such changing of the Ticket. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Let say, I have a Depart 'A' which is actually contain the tickets from clients, and if the Department move this ticket to the Internal Department 'B', Client should not get the Actions, There only should display that Ticket is assigned to Department 'A' and when the ticket is fixed and re assign to Department 'A' by Internal Department 'B', there is a notification mail issue to the client that the Ticket has been resolved.And all Internal matters should be display the what will happen to this ticket internally.

&#60;p&#62;Just wondering if v2 will be open sourced, as there seems to be no movement on the project anymore.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Would be interested in fixing some of the bugs in v2 (can't even add users, for example, the db record never gets entered); however, though the app is advertised as being &#34;Completely free&#34;, it is not.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;In order to legally use the software, I am required to pay in the form of advertising your company via the copyright that according to the license must remain - unless I spring for a &#34;copyright removal license&#34;, which makes it no longer free.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Am not saying you should not get due credit for some good code.  But forcing me to leave an ad in place for your company unless I pay to be allowed to remove it is a big turnoff.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Better to put it under the GNU umbrella.  More flies with sugar, and all.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Still, a good project.  Would be nice to see continued development.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Hi to all, I'm Giorgio and I work for University of Milan - Bicocca (Italy). My sector is about to adopt your software for helpdesk. I had to make some modifications in order to set it work correcty for our needs and we think that modifications could be helpful to all.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'll explain what are these modifications:&#60;br /&#62;
1. I changed the admininistration menus in order to show only the links available to the user (es. if a staff member can only manage ticket he will see only Management -&#38;gt; Ticket Control menu).&#60;br /&#62;
2. We need to use CAS for authentication and, considering that TrellisDesk works only with local authentication, I had to make a little multi-authentication engine. This modifications is more complex than the previous one and maybe it needs your arrangement, in order to set it more similar to your coding style. I made a little reverse engineering and I made my best.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If you want I can send you patch files for these two modifications.&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Trellis is the third trouble ticket system I installed that does not work the way I want it to. It's too cumbersome and anything but simple. It does not do the simple things that I need like:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1 - Assign ticket to staff member rather than the Department.&#60;br /&#62;
2 - Once assigned sent email notification to the assigned person only and not the Department.&#60;br /&#62;
3 - Have the ability to view, edit, assign and prioritize the tickets from ONE place without having to go through the Admin control panel.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I need something simple that everyone can easily use and without having to go through an intimidating Admin control panel that does much more than just manage tickets. Even though I have all the other features turned off, they are still visible and appear cluttered.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;After reading about RT I feel it may be even more complicated.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I don't want a ton of features, something simple and customizable.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So much wasted time already and nothing I can use here :(

i don't seem to be getting any help from the peer-to-peer forums, i know this is not your guys fault, but i was hoping that you could please help me out. Your helpdesk is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! i would just like some help with the following that i can not figure out.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;1. I cannot seem to upgrade from v1.0.1 to v1.0.2 (if posible please see my post in peer help) else i can re-post here for you.&#60;br /&#62;
2. What does 'hold' status mean for tickets, and how do we place a ticket that has been put on hold back into 'open' status&#60;br /&#62;
3. Were can i configure the helpdesk 'administrator' to email, that i put in when we first installed Trellis&#60;br /&#62;
4. Where or how can i change the text and layout of the email that gets sent to a member when they submit a new ticket, can this be done, i would like to include our company logo (is this legal?)&#60;br /&#62;
5. Im not sure why this is, but in certain areas of trellis, the whole layout and screen seems to be a link back to my helpdesk home page, some of our clients are complaining that if they by mistake click  somewhere on the page, they just go back to our helpdesk home page.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Thank you in advanced for any help, i know you guys are very busy, but would really appropriate some help. This is the best ticket system by far. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

sometimes clients phone in and come through to an consultant, it would be nice for the consultant to be able to 'log' the call, without having to create a 'fake' ticket. something, for example, client calls in and speaks to consultant, consultant(who would be logged on already) would request the users email address or username (maybe for verification) once verified proceeds to 'log' the call by typing it out. once this happens, the consultant saves/posts the call with date/time etc against that clients name. once saved an email gets sent out as usual that that the call was logged and will be taken care of...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;any feedback on this would be helpful, or even if anybody is doing something similar, or if there is a better way to handle this?&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;I operate a Community Network and I have been testing all the open source software such as your Trellis Help Desk. I feel that your software has the best design and simplicity but I wish it was functional because I would like to use it within my community network. Two issues that I have...&#60;br /&#62;
1st. Email piping.... You have none and should not state that you do until you have the bugs worked out... very misleading...&#60;br /&#62;
2nd. I have reloaded your system three times  but could never get your tracking system to function correctly. When I submit a ticket by a person from the administrative group and assign the ticket to a member group - group members nor other adminstrators can view the ticket. The only person that can view it is the person who generated it... I have gone through and tried to configure the system several different ways and still no luck it granting access to others outside the person submitting the ticket. Question: is this a flaw or is it a design feature.&#60;br /&#62;
3rd. When I go from the ticket login to admin the password always fails where I have to re_enter the password to access the Admin login. I believe this is a flaw because the username passes correctly to the admin login page but not the password.&#60;br /&#62;
I understand from my research that future versions will fix the email piping but what about the ticket viewing. Is it something that I am not configuring correctly or is it in your design that only the person generating the ticket can view it.&#60;br /&#62;
I tired finding an answer on your peer to peer forum but could not find an answer.&#60;br /&#62;

&#60;p&#62;I watched the Vimeo regarding the upcoming release of Trellis 2.0 I was surprised not to see any info regarding the Knowledgbase.. This feature is really left out it seems in the current release and I was hoping the 2.0 would have an improvement on this. Is there?&#60;br /&#62;
What I noticed when working with the KB is that it's hard to add images because there is no file browser included. I have discussed some other issues before like user rights on the KB articles etc.&#60;br /&#62;
Hopefully the KB will be more useful in 2.0!
