Hi all,

I'm looking for 2 features that are apparently supported, but I am unable to find where they are located.

The first is for a user to close his own ticket. This is enabled in Group permissions, but I have looked everywhere, but cannot see where the user can actually do this??

The second is to set a time for tickets to auto close after some number of hours, after a reply has been submitted from an admin.

Can someone please tell me how to find these features?

Thanks for your help!

Sorry guys... after three hours of trying everything, include several installs, doing everything suggested in the forums and endless frustration, the admin STILL keeps demanding log-in with every edit, every change of page.

That's unsustainable, even in a free product.

Unless, of course, it's a sneaky way to drive users into paid support plans. Either way, I'm gone.

Hi there,

I'm having the same problem, and I don't quite understand your explanation Brent.

What I want is for a field within a single department to be visible (and editable) to administrators responding to tickets but not to members or guest submitting the tickets.

E.g. I would like a "paid" where I can store whether the work carried out in a particular ticket has been paid for. Users would submit their ticket and this field would not be visible and the ticket would appear to administrators as unpaid. Administrators should then be able to check the ticket off against our payments system and mark the ticket as paid if required.

This doesn't seem possible based on your explanation, as the ticket is only submitted to a single department, but please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Thanks,

Tom

I'm not sure if anybody has previously tried installing TD on IIS Windows 7, but I know there have been successful installations. You might want to run a search in the forums for IIS and see if that turns up anything.

I just took the demo for a spin, which was a great way to get a feel for the product. I'm wondering, though, if support staffers can create tickets on behalf of customers who call the support line. From what I could tell, if a support staffer created a ticket, it was "submitted by" the support staffer, and there is no way to link up that ticket with the customer it's really for. Is there a way to handle this scenario? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make it so if you do not have permission to access something in the admin panel...
Instead of receiving the error "Sorry, you do not have access to this area."
Hide the links & settings / options in the admin panel if you don't have access to use it..

I have a member group that ONLY deals with tickets and users and has no other access to anything else on the admin cp yet they have tons of options still visible that they can try to get to and will just keep receiving the no access error.

I'm wondering if this is possible as it would make it look a whole lot better to users that don't have access to the options, limiting them to see only what they can actually use.

We are testing trellisdesk and so far, absolutely loving this product. I run into a problem though. In order to educate our users on some of the things, we need to show CODE into the knowledgebase articles. For example, codes like this..

<!--<div id='menuright'></div>-->

But the visual editor either does not show it ,or turns it into actual HTML output. Is there a way I can post codes into knowledgebase articles?

I am running Windows 7 with IIS 7.5. I'm kinda new to php and mysql, but I have both of them installed. I am having a problem with the install. I get to where I enter in the database information, and then the page comes up with error, after some time in loading. I think everything is set up correctly with the server. I guess this is my problem?

Module	FastCgiModule
Notification	ExecuteRequestHandler
Handler	PHP_via_FastCGI
Error Code	0x00000000

It also says logon method is ANONYMOUS
and Logon User is Anonymous

The detailed error pages that IIS has is not detailed enough! As I said, I am kinda new to php and mysql, but I know asp, and all of that is still working correctly. I also have other php pages, and they work correctly, but this does not. I include this picture so we can see what's going on. Does anyone have a clue how to fix this?

Hi Dan.
i have only edit that line now after the suggestion from DJ.
i didn't want to delete the line, just in case i wanted to use it
later, so i just commented out the line. is that not the right way
to comment out the line?

thanks for your response.

@Dan: Good point. I'll consider that for TD2. Either way, it would only require a small modification to "skip" the first step where you select a department.

@quietas: We don't have any sort of official list yet. Honestly, the list is so big I can't remember everything. I'll try to whip something up soon. There is always the Trac you can look at, but there are many new features that have been implemented that do not appear in the Trac.

Great job so far. It's looking good.

I don't suppose you have a feature list you expect to be in the new version once finished?
